How would one go about setting up Google analytics for a website?

Sign up for google analytics –

Click on analysis –

After that Create an account

Your username and password

Add your website information if your signing for the first time

account name, your location, and your address.

Read and accept the user agreement for Google analytics-

Log in to your Google Analytics account
On the bottom left-hand side of the page, click Admin
From the left column titled account, select an account from the drop-down menu
Under the Property column, click Tracking info – tracking code
Your website’s unique tracking ID is shown at the top of the page under Tracking ID and starts with UA.
Access your tracking code –

It is an HTML code to copy on every page of your website you want to start statistics for –

Locate the tracking code upon login into your account.

If you ’re already signed up for Google analytics you will be taken to the overview page that shows your website accounts.

Select from the action, column, click on edit.

You can find your tracking code below for adding track id.

You need to add the tracking code to your website –

Copy the tracking code to your website – Copy the tracking code and paste into the HTML of your web page just before the closing head tag.

Verify your tracking code works properly –

To make sure google analytics will begin tracking your website data.

Select from the actions column click on edit” box.

Click on the “Check status” Tracking status information box on that section, you will get to clarify whether your tracking code was properly inserted/installed.
