It’s a very valid question. Most companies would want their distinct look & feel, stay true to branding guidelines and have control over the flow of the website, as to how content is displayed and organized.
Beyond the consistent branding, and implementation, we expanded our services in online business development, digital marketing, search engine visibility and integrating 3rd party services, like visitor analytics, email marketing, social networks – all important areas, that go way beyond the mere installation of WordPress or installing a theme per se and are quite complex given the fast iteration of changes and updates to the ecosystem. It’s quite hard to stay on top of it when you already have in-depth knowledge in the field. It’s impossible to know how to handle all the little details when you only start out in the field as any business owner who thinks they can handle it without a professional on his site. We have seen how Rockies and DIY got penalized by search engines because of duplicate content, titles or H1 tags on their pages. Most content is not reused across distribution channels and brings down the productivity of any content producer. It will make the business owner focus on the wrong aspects of the online business.
